NURSES’ WEEK 2025: CANCER PAIN MANAGEMENT

Purpose: By attending this webinar, participants will understand the common pain syndromes experienced by those with cancer, as well as treatment options and current guidelines. Challenges in management will be discussed and cases will be used to illustrate present complexities. The goal is to provide safe and effective care to those experiencing cancer pain.
Objectives:
- Review pain syndromes seen in people with cancer
- Examine pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment options
- Provide education to patients and families related to safe and effective use of pain therapies

Physicians: The AAFP has reviewed MJHS 2024-2025 Interprofessional Webinar Series, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 09/26/2024 to 08/31/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This session Cancer Pain Management is approved for 1.0 online AAFP Elective credit.
Note: Physicians should contact their respective licensing boards and specialty certification boards about acceptance of AAFP Elective credits when attempting to satisfy CME credit requirements.
